Drain Clearance Services

Call Now 0800 542 1912 For FREE Quotations.

Rodding

The most basic clearance technique is to burst the blockage with flexible rods, this will restore the flow.

High Pressure Water Jetting

A jet hose introduced into the drain forces out powerful water jets at up to 5000 psi. A nozzle at the hose end converts the water into laser cutting jets which strip deposits from pipe walls, flush out waste and restore full flow.

Electro-Mechanical Cleaning

Another technique used to thoroughly clean and descale waste pipes and main sewers is electro-mechanical machining. Flexible steel cables fitted with specialist cutters cut quickly through debris, lime scale, tree roots and other deposits, to restore full flow.

CCTV Surveys - Drainage Surveys

Most drain faults develop slowly and invisibly until leakage occurs, causing flooding and in some case subsidence.

With a C.C.T.V. Survey, the slimline camera is capable of accurately detecting pipework defects, allowing preventative action to be taken to avoid further damage to your pipework.
Total Collapse
Root Intrusion
Longitudinal Fracture

It is more cost effective to have a survey followed by repair of any minor damage pinpointed by the camera, than to allow faults to go undetected and develop into much larger problems.

The full C.C.T.V. survey is inclusive of a written report, dvd, recommendations and quotations where necessary for remedial works.
Free Drains also carries out drain repair and replacement services.

We supply quotations free of charge. If you require any further information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01256 336644

Drain Repair and Pipe Replacement

Excavation and renewal can be carried out on damaged drains which are beyond repair by use of the lining method.

Disruption is kept to a minimum.

New drainage is constructed from new UPVC pipework of the appropriate dimensions.

The new pipework is laid in a shingle based filling before the excavation trench is backfilled.

All quotations are provided free of charge.

Insitu Lining - Inner Drainage Protection & Repair

Repair by Insitu Lining

A soft liner is impregnated with a glass reinforced polyester laminate, this is pulled through the damaged drain run and moulded rigidly in place by water or air pressure.
The result is a new pipe within the old damaged pipe.

We can solve many structural problems without the expense, inconvenience and disruptions caused by excavations.

- Resilient to ground movement
- Impervious to leaks or root penetration
- Minimal cross sectional loss
- All work guaranteed

Pitch Fibre Re-Rounding and Structural Lining System

Pitch-fibre drainage systems have been haunting the professional specifier and the general public for many years.

Previously the only option available for remedial action was excavation, both costly and time consuming. However, recent advancements now mean that deformed or de-laminated pitched fibre can be repaired in-situ, thus making significant savings in time and therefore cost.

The new pipe material is similar to GRP (glass reinforced plastic) and in all cases will be superior in quality and strength to the pipe which it lines. The new pipe is moulded into the damaged pipe by an ingenious method called ‘inversion’ using water or air pressure, which fits it tightly against the wall of the existing pipe. When the inversion is complete the new pipe (which was originally flexible) is now rigid, resulting in a strong, tough pipe tightly fitted within the original pipe with only a minimum loss of cross section, (approximately 6%).

The Renoline System is suitable for sewers, culverts, tunnels, pressure mains, gas pipes, down pipes etc. It can also be used to seal tanks, chambers and manholes. Renoline is resistant to most aggressive chemicals and can withstand extremely high temperatures.

Sewage Treatment Systems

Waste water goes through a series of filters to remove any solids. Some sewage treatment systems have a current in them that cause solids to settle at the bottom ready to be removed. When waste water has been through this sewage treatment systems it will go through a washer cycle where certain chemicals will be used to kill bacteria and neutralise the water.

Water has to pass various tests before it can be released, and if the water were to fail these tests it would not be legal to do so. After the waste water has gone through sewage treatment systems it can then be released into a natural water source such as a river or the sea.

For domestic dwellings without mains drainage, the Aerotec treatment system provides a lower cost alternative to the existing Biotec range.
